For May we'll be having a Lightning Talks night. The theme - AI. We're also have a new venue sponsor Temple Studios (https://www.tcnuk.co.uk/temple-1852). Thanks to them for providing their venue to PHP-SW. AI... Love it? Hate it? What tricks have you found that actually work? Where has it confidently led you off a cliff? It's been a great year! There's no speaking event this month, but we're meeting once more for drinks if there is enough interest. It's one more chance to talk about everything new to PHP in 2025, or anything else! Please go directly to the pub as there are no talks! As we have unfortunately had to cancel our Lightning Talks night, we still wanted to provide an opportunity for people to get together if they wanted. Join us for a PHPSW Social at Small Bar on Wednesday evening. We'll provide the first couple of drinks and then discuss whatever topics you want to. We're not going to provide any food/pizza, so please grab some beforehand or there is food available to order at Small Bar too.

This month we're skipping the talks and teaming up with Bristol JS (https://www.meetup.com/BristolJS/) to have an end of year social.

Twas a few weeks before Christmas, when all through Bristol Not a creature was stirring, not even an ElePHPant.

We're finishing off 2016 as we have done for the last couple of years and that's with a social. The evening will be taking place in a pub - we're just waiting for final confirmation and then we'll announce which one. We'll be putting on a buffet and there will be a drink or two on us for you too.

For the end of 2015 it's a welcome return to our now annual tech-themed Pub Quiz. The questions will be techy, but not too serious, geeky, or necessarily, even PHP-orientated. There'll be a bar tab along with some bar snacks and we're in the process of putting a selection of prizes together. We're thinking teams of 4, if you don't have enough we'll pair you up, and we'll be hosting at the Bristol Ram on Park Street.

We're trying something different to round off 2014, in December, we'll be hosting a tech-themed pub quiz to celebrate how we've redefined PHPSW this year! The questions will be techy, but not too serious, geeky, or necessarily, even PHP-orientated. There'll be a bar tab courtesy of GitHub, bar snacks, mince pies and yule logs, and a bunch of great prizes, including but not limited to tickets to PHP UK and jQuery UK conferences, as well as a whole bunch of books, cert vouchers, elePHPants, licenses, t-shirts, vouchers, $325 of Digital Ocean hosting and GitHub, Mandrill, PHP & PHPSW swag. We're thinking teams of 4, if you don't have enough we'll pair you up, and we'll be hosting at the lovely Smoke & Mirrors bar on Denmark Street (towards The Hatchet).
